Since my education at TU Delft, I have been active in various fields, including biotechnology, chemical engineering, consultancy and the oil and gas industry, with a focus on fuels and biofuels. Over the past ten years, I have combined my work in industry with my role as a lecturer in chemical engineering at the Avans ALST Academy.
Within the Renewable Energy Carriers research group, I work on e-fuels: synthetic fuels that are produced from green hydrogen and electricity, CO₂ or residual flows from biomass. E-fuels are renewable drop-in fuels that can be used as a replacement for marine fuels, diesel and kerosene.
