What now?
In this project it will become clear which textile paint can be made from brown seaweed by applying different methods and it will be investigated which are suitable for upscaling.
This research is carried out in collaboration between Seaweed Yarn & Dye, Dorable Colors and CoEBBE. Student projects for ATGM students are included. These partners have the facilities, knowledge and competence to make this information understandable. The results are made visible, among other things, by designing a color map.
The central point is that the seaweed dye must improve a raw material and production problem in the textile industry. The paint must become accessible to the entire textile industry and thus contribute to a cleaner environment and “healthier” clothing.
