In memoriam: Max Drath

Max fully joined MNEXT (Avans University of Applied Sciences and HZ UAS) on September 1, in particular the Biobased Building lectorate, saying goodbye to his consultancy career at Aveco de Bondt. Max was so looking forward to getting started in this new position as a researcher. It is all the more sad that he was unable to enjoy this, due to his hospitalization starting in August. He was so looking forward to sharing his expertise with fellow researchers and teachers. And, last but not least, also to start passing this expertise on to a young and new generation of builders. We hoped this prospect would get him back on his feet soon. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be.

We are going to miss Max. His personality and expertise, but also certainly his kindness.
Let us therefore continue his drive and enthusiasm: Lasst uns das Leben in vollen Zügen genießen … bis zum Maximum!
