I have been a teacher-researcher at Renewable Energy Carriers since 2023. My goal is to bridge the gap between education and research in the field of making sustainable energy carriers such as hydrogen. Together with the Avans academies of ATD, ATEX and ALST we work together to make a first introduction with practical setups on how to make and use hydrogen with workshops, guest lectures etc.
In addition, I am involved in a number of research projects in which we look at larger pilot setups of using solid oxide electrolysis and fuel cell technology; which industry is suitable to use solid oxide as a use case to reduce the CO2 footprint by using waste streams to convert into an energy carrier. My role is to experiment with a pilot setup using this new technique and investigate its feasibility.
